Noteworthy Social Event Hosted by Your Fraternity: This year, we'll be hosting "Lambda Chi Crater," a late-night dance party complete with a DJ, dance floor, and plenty of black lights and neon decorations. This event will serve as a welcome back to school event for the brothers, their guests, and select guests from the incoming freshman class of 2015.

Briefly Describe Your Chapters Philanthropy Event : Our chapter participates in the North America Food Drive (or at least we will this year), which is the largest single-day fraternity philanthropic project in North America. We will be having a canned food drive on and around campus. On the first Saturday of November, we will then donate all the money and cans we have raised to a local food bank, the Capital Area Food Bank. More than 10,000 brothers at over 200 Lambda Chi chapters across the country participate in this event every year.

Briefly Describe Your Fraternity : Lambda Chi Alpha serves to empower its members to achieve a lifetime of success. As members, we teach each other to adopt high standards for all aspects of life and participate in activities such as leadership and teamwork development, social and philanthropic events, intramural sports, networking events, and academic enrichment.

The University of Texas chapter, designated Alpha-Mu, has been at the university since 1917 and in recent years has been one of the fastest-growing fraternities on campus. The fraternity is in an exciting phase in its development and the members are very excited for the years to come.
